Dear customers,

We want to inform you about upcoming maintenance work:

• What will take place?

  • We migrate all mail servers to the new OpenStack environment.

• Why is the maintenance work necessary / What is the advantage of this maintenance work for you?

  • Improve performance and reliability

• When will the work take place?

  • 2024-09-04 18:00 UTC/20:00 CEST until 2024-09-04 21:00 UTC/23:00 CEST

  • We plan with less than 15min outage per system.

• Who is affected?

  • All customers who are using our mail servers.

  • All our mail servers (domain ending in "mailhosting.a1a-server.de", as well as "hermes")

• How is this affecting me?

  • The mail servers will be shut down and brought online with new IP addresses.

  • During the migration, access to mail will not be possible.

  • No mail will be lost.

  • Immediately after the migration, the new IP addresses need to propagate. Incoming e-mails might be delayed.

We will inform you when the maintenance has been completed or if unexpected issues have occurred that require an extension of the maintenance window (which is not expected).
